Here’s one for all aspiring writers out there.
We came across this copy of a first edition of “Gulliver’s Travels” (originally called “Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World.”) written by Jonathan Swift in 1726.
However, see the handwriting? That’s actually the writing of Jonathan himself – correct one of the errors he came across in his own first edition. Little did he realise the place his book would assume in our imaginations over the centuries.
Taken at the Armagh Library, County Armagh.
